Any volunteers to do my laundry?
ferdinand — Wed, 06/18/2008 - 23:08
Well, today I happened to do my laundry, by doing my laundry I mean depositing it with the laundry at Blk B but lo and behold I was stopped at the gate by the security guards who said I couldn't drop off my laundry at Blk B anymore seeing as I didn't live there. Well, me being the well-bred gentleman that I am, left them with some worldly wisdom on the use of the word *$%& (it involves fornication, so go figure). According to them it was Management's directive, my only beef with this is that Blk C has a laundry tht is even woth mentioning. They're closed half the time and the other half when they are actually open, there's no one there to attend to customers. And when you're lucky enough to get your laundry done there, it comes back smelling of soap and it's damp.
You see my predicament now, I wouldn't bother ranting if I had a machine washing at my disposal but even she's passed on to another world, wherever it is dead washing machines go. So now I'm left with washing my clothes in the sink of my bathroom.
Now I'm looking for an answer on what Management plan to do about this? I'd very much appreciate an answer and one fast, so if anyone of you is masquerading here, show yourself and provide me an explanation.
Till later,

Management's Directive over the laundry
alvin — Thu, 06/19/2008 - 10:45Why is there such a directive in the First Place?
To begin with, it's redundant because I can later go in with my car and send it anyway.
But Still.... Can anyone here explain the logic behind limiting the laundry services that way?
It is going to be counter-productive. Not to mention going against Fair Competition.
And to further explain Block C's Laundry. We once sent our clothes, The guy did not give us a receipt, saying he'll know which one.
Then when we went to get it.. someone else was maning the place... who obviously didn't know where the clothes were.
Took us a while to get it back.
And then there was once when he took like 10 days off for Deepavali. Obviously we had to begrudgingly wait that long for our clothes.
There is a reason we walk all the way across the blocks with 5 kilos of clothes. If the nearer laundry was an option we would have used that. But it ISN'T.
So Don't force us to send our clothes there. I'd rather go to a nearby laundrette than to send it to the one in Block C.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.
Isn't the answer to that
ferdinand — Fri, 06/20/2008 - 00:27Isn't the answer to that question obvious based on the 1st two posts :)

Ayam Legend!
what you can do is...
leo — Fri, 06/20/2008 - 09:05Yeah going in with a car is one option, but i do have fun-er propositions:
Option 1:
Put your laundry in a plastic bag and stuff in your bag and walk in. Again, this is no fun.
Option 2:
Walk in with your laundry and says no you're just visiting friend (eg Fizah) and use her washing machine.
Option 3:
Tell the guard "no this is not for laundry, this is for garage sale, i'm going to look for a garage"
Option 4:
Tell the guard "no this is not for laundry, i take these as weights"
Option 5:
No i'm not from Vista A or C, i'm from Subang Jaya, my side there has got no laundry-shop, so me being not in Vista A or C wont screw up the competition environment, if there is any to start with.
