Obvious cracks in concrete wall/pillar
wlg — Fri, 05/23/2008 - 22:44
kudos to the admin for setting up a forum for vk residents...has anyone notice? there are obvious cracks in walls/pillars supporting the upper carpark between c2 and c1 (near the stairs)...i wonder whether the building management is doing something about it..our buildings are really poorly maintained for a condominium category property..

Yes, I saw them before. It
chinwan — Mon, 05/26/2008 - 11:16Yes, I saw them before. It was there since I bought that place like in 2000. I complained but no action taken. I think we're in the middle of mgmt change from developer to residence. Let's hope the residence mgmt will do something about it.

I'm not sure how to post
wlg — Tue, 05/27/2008 - 14:23I'm not sure how to post pictures here....forum admin...can u advice? chinwan...i agree with u on this..i've complaint to management before as well..however no action being taken..hopefully the new resident's management can do something about it...btw...the appearance of our building looks pathetic..it has not being repainted for more than 10 years? the poor maintenance on building causes the value of our properties dropped tremendously...is our sinking fund contribution being abused by the current management?
To Insert Pics:
alvin — Tue, 05/27/2008 - 19:14I will add a module for Images soon enough.
Until then wlg:
Pictures can be attached when you start a new thread, but not in comments.
To include the pictures, start a new thread, at the bottom of it you will see 'Attach' where you can attach a file. There is a limit to the size of the pictures though, so you may need to crop it so that it is less than 512kB
OR You can mail me the pictures, I will insert it manually into the forums.

Maintenance & Security Issues
akj0711 — Wed, 05/28/2008 - 01:10It would be good if residents and owners can come together and help make Vista C a better place to live in.
I personally dont think putting up pictures on the website wil be of any good to any residents and owners. It will just be a showcase to outsiders the condition of the complex and push the value of your property and investment even lower. Instead I suggest wlg submit the photos to the JMC and seek their assistance. As it is now the value is still below the developer's selling price while units in other developments in this area ranges from RM300k to more than RM700k.
Rather than ranting over how bad condition of the complex is, I suggest residents volunteer their time and effort to help out in the Sub Committees. Members of the JMC are owners who volunteered their time to represent the owners in managing the condominium. A dozen of them certainly cannot do much without the other owners and residents helping out.
Since we are on this issue please allow me to share some of my thoughts.
I was at the JMB meeting and there were complaints made by a resident. I asked the resident to volunteer some of his time he gave excuses instead. When asked for suggestions on how the condition of the condominium can be improved, none was given. Instead, he wanted to know what the Committee was going to do to enhance the value of his property! This is so Malaysian. Everyone owes us everything and we demand, demand, and demand. Complain, complain and complain. But we cannot even come up with a suggested solution. SO SELFISH and BOSSY.
The morale of the story above:
This property and complex is ours. Each of us paid as much money as another when we invested our hard earn money into this investment. It is our duty to turn this place into our palace, paradise, shangri-la. or humble abode..whatever it means to each and everyone of us. NO ONE AINT OWE US NOTHING!!!
"Ask not what your country can do for you but ask what you can do for your country"....sounds familiar? I think we need to subscribe to that and put it to practice.
By coming together and joining hands, we can make this place a better place to live in for ourselves and for our family. The faster all of us come together and help each other, the faster we can turn this condominium into one which we all can be proud of . After all this property is ours and community living is also about each and everyone contributing for the benefit of all.
I hope I have managed to stimulate your thoughts with my posting. Please give it a thought and I hope you will make the time and effort to come make our place a better place to live in.
